Just like cars, TV, computer, refrigerator etc. if bodies of the product we are intending to buy are not strong enough, we do not buy. Beauty of the product body is another feature we look for. Beautiful body makes a good impression on the people seeing it. So two major qualities are concerned with body; it need to be strong and beautiful but both qualities in one thing are difficult to find.

RC cars bodies are also designed on the basis of above two qualities. RC cars bodies usually consists of plastic, paints, window panes controller motors and radio transistors etc. there are many international companies which manufacture RC cars like TAMIYA , KYOSKO etc. In these companies qualified engineers are designing and making RC cars bodies which are aerodynamic for better speeds, strong for durability and beautiful for eyes.

RC cars have a plastic body which is painted by machines and for opening of the doors, windows and to perform other functions different types of motors are used. For making RC cars, companies have different section, in first section scathes of rc cars bodies are drawn on paper than after finalizing the design plastic cutting starts according to the shape of the body. In second section body is painted with different colors. There are different types of paints available in the market but companies mostly use TESTOR brand and TESTOR’s acrylic and enamel paints. Companies do not use latex because latex do not bond with plastic. There is another option which is used by different companies in that they buy already painted plastic such as LEXAN, it is poly carbonated plastic sheets. But companies mostly use acrylic paints because it makes bond with hard plastic Lexan, metal, fiberglass, and even carbon-fiber which are the different alternative options making rc cars bodies. However, several painters are still using poly carbonated plastic. Another option is spray painting on rc cars bodies and for that Polycarbonate Spray Paints or Pactra Polycarb Spray Paints are best option. Moreover, Parma FASKOLOR is the best option of air brushing the rc cars bodies.

Before start painting on cars the painters mask the portions of the car to avoid those palaces on which they do not want paint or they mask those areas if they want to paint those areas with different colors. If you are painting yourself, utilize bubbly water, a rag or paper towels to carefully clean the body where you do not want the pant to occur. If you want to give finishing touches to the painted rc cars body part, clean and wipe it completely dry with lint free cloth, not paper towels to avoid haze from messing up your paint job. You could speed the procedure along with a handheld blow dryer.

Another option is to use denatured alcohol, it dries rapidly but do use a lint free cloth, after cleaning, do not touch the areas to be painted with your hand. Start masking the body, covering the masks cautiously and keep away from the sticky side of the mask or tape as much as possible. Confirm that all air bubbles are smoothed out, work from the middle of the mask near the edges. Create a firm seal by rasping the edges of the mask with the back of your fingernail. It’s a long soft tool used for making creases, removing bubbles, and other tasks. Rub it or your fingernail along the edges with solid force.
RC cars are like a human body. Human body has brain which performs like a remote control for our body just like RC cars remote control, brain gives instruction to body to do work same as remote controls gives instructions to rc cars, human has a heart for power and RC cars has battery or engine for power. Nothing is different between the structure of human and RC cars. That is why we need to care for our rc cars bodies like the way we care for our own bodies.

Gas powered RC cars

If you go to buy a radio control car, you will find that there are two different types which are gas and nitro propelled cars. Generally, gas powered RC cars use a mixture of oil and gasoline. The cost price for ready to run or RTR cars ranges between $1000 to $3000 more expensive than nitro and electric based RC cars. Since gas powered RC cars are larger, they need more space for running and storage. They have a relatively lower top end speed compared to nitro RC cars. But they don’t require a lot of fuel.

Contrastingly, nitro powered RC cars have a medium to high velocity even when they are modified to lower revolutions. Their torque which is the turning rate is slower compared to electric cars since time is needed to spool up and for the clutch to engage. Nitro and gas powered cars can be refueled in a jiffy, while electric cars require removal of the body shell and battery fasteners when replacing a dead battery. Nitro and gas powered RC cars are completely air cooled, and could be run continuously with no need to take breaks for cooling down.

There is a difference between nitro and petrol or gas powered RC cars. Nitro powered RC cars are just not only smaller than gas powered RC cars but they use a glow engine as opposed to the standard petrol engine found in gas powered RC cars. This means that nitro RC cars have a glow plug instead of a spark plug, which to ignite the fuel must become hot. This is achieved by using a glow starter, which is usually separate from the car, and is only used to start it and is then removed. Nitro fuel is less explosive than petrol, so runs at a higher temperature, meaning the entire engine design is different. Think of it as the difference between a petrol and diesel engine in your everyday car.

Amongst other, the popular XRC gas powered RC buggies need you to pour in unleaded petrol up to the first mark then, two stroke oil up to the second mark. The price of these gas powered RC buggy cars used to be over seven hundred Dollars but now due to manufacturing and the production of all the parts is under one roof, the company saves money in importing, exporting and general production costs which allows for the cars to be sold for much less than they have done in the past.

Nitrotek are the sole distributor of the XRC Buggy within the UK, which they have a continued success with the popularity of this model. Many other petrol or gas powered RC cars do not come with all the accessories you need to get going but the gas powered RC buggy does.

Nitro and gas powered RC cars have their own strengths and weaknesses. If you are seeking long term savings with reduced performance, a gas powered RC car will be deemed a preferred choice. However, if one is more concerned with optimum performance, a nitro powered RC car is a better advice.

Fastest Rc Car Specter 6S - 100 kmph

This Rc car constructed a brute RC Buggy with brushless motor, which reached in no time at 100 km / h: the Specter 6S. With such complex components, it will benefit the prospects that the model is set up directly in road trim.

Technical details for Carson Specter 6S:

Four-wheel drive | 3 Steel Differentials | 6S brushless motor Brushless DRAGSTER XL | Hardened drive shafts | hardened CNC-milled gears | 3 mm aluminum chassis plate with countersunk screws | chassis brace, front / rear | Adjustable oil filled shock absorbers | Adjustable rear spoiler | 17 mm wheel hub | pre-glued racing High-grip tires with inserts on wire wheels | C-hubs with aluminum uprights | driving mode selected (forward or forward / backward value) | proportional ABS function with four steps to set the maximum braking force, and eight steps for setting the drag-brake (engine brake ) | selectable options of start modes (punch) of "soft" to "aggressive" | various protection features such as low-voltage cut-off for Lithium and NiMH rechargeable batteries, overheating protection, fail-safe in signal loss on cruise control channel | Motor Blocking Protection | Regulators splashproof and dustproof

CARSON extent to Specter 6S:

Length / Width / Height: 500 / 300 / 195 mm
Wheelbase / Ground Clearance: 350 / 50 mm
Tyre diameter / width: 115 / 43 mm
Wheel hub: 17 mm
Maximum speed: 100 km / h
Weight: 3100 g

Fastest Rc Car Kit - Create your own

RC cars are the cars of all ages, no matter whether you are eighty or sixteen, it's just the way the car radio, you would enjoy. If you have fun with these cars, you will surely appreciate the endless excitement through her.
If you get the first radio-controlled car, you should use the three most important things:

Ready-to-Run (RTR) car or a kit

The RTR cars are ideal for beginners and those who do not have the skills required for the assembly of the car. These cars will automatically start running it through electricity-powered batteries and enjoy their properties. RTR vehicles tend to be when the construction of the car a little cheap.

On the other hand, the kit will allow the assembly operations. For fans, this has more advantages as you can manage it easily. If changes are needed and repair jobs available, would you still find this an easy task, as you know, like the housing unit and other parts were assembled.

On the road or off-road

On the street cars are used such speed in a smooth, paved surface is required. Also, if you intend to get into the race competitions, clearly are your option.

Off-road vehicles are those trucks and buggies, which have the ability to rough terrain, jumps and courses to negotiate. Of course these are not meant for racing events.

Nitro or electric car models

Simpler and slower vehicles are the choice for beginners. As already mentioned, rechargeable battery operated cars. Although they are clean and quiet, is a disadvantage that they do not auto racing realism for radio-jets.

Nitro - Cars or gas they are intended for racing and performance and power at a higher level. In recent years the quality of these cars for performance, safety, reliability and aesthetics have been greatly improved.

All these factors may have answered, now for your visit to the store. If you prefer to create your own car, you have the kit.

After retrieving the kit, you need your red tool box and make sure every necessary tool is included. In particular, the things you need: Screwdriver, flat blade screwdrivers, pliers, slip joint, hobby knife (No. 11 Blades), flush cutters and needle-nose types. Adding soap could be used as a dry lubricant for tight parts.

RC car kits cost a few hundred dollars, but if you can improve performance and make you add another bit editions. You can choose to purchase a few pieces of RC Car accessories or parts needed for the upgrade. You can also lock the car with their own design that you have in mind. Accessories and attachments are available through local stores or online shops you can and by their availability

To avoid getting errors on the process, you also study the user manual. Familiar with each step and process will make it easy for you to finish the job. Completion of the process will not finish in one sitting, so you better prepare for this task. It would be wise to work in a clear, bright and uncluttered, with an area to avoid mistakes.

Information relevant to start with your RC car kit

There are books, e-books and other materials, information and ideas about building cars from a kit that includes you, can use for additional help. Accordingly, would receive wisdom from experienced RC Car Racers very beneficial to you. As soon as you need all these things and information you can build the fastest RC car in no time at all.

Mini RC Cars are Cute

Every month I use to go the Super market for the grocery with my family and spent some time for outing on the seaside or some festival enjoying the weekend. But when I went to the Super Store last month, I decided to see some new gadgets or some radio control planes or vehicles as I love to fly those for fun, but what I noticed is a small box, it was not larger than a regular chocolate box, I picked it up and tried to find out what was it, and then I saw a mini car inside it.

First I thought that it was just a model car , but when I read that it was remote controlled, I was amazed to see the size of this mini RC car, it was just 8 centimeter long and even lighter than a dicast car model. I could see the electronic circuit inside with all the components inside, it was a model of Mini Cooper featured in the movie Heart Break Kid. And it was decorated with plastic model of sofa and the dashboard, and it also had interior lightnings, front lights and the back lights all worked with the help of LED, that small red lights used in the electronic circuits that keeps blinking, remember!.

The Mini Remote cars are sometimes also called Micro Car because of their size, and they are not wired but they are radio controlled. Since I am a student of electronic, I can really tell how they achieved this small size.

What they did is build a small radio transmitter and a receiver using an electronic component called transistor. It is very small in size but it can do a lot of work, it’s not an IC but it’s still a major component. They place the receiver part in the car and hook the output of the circuit to the motor, and the transmitter part is in your hands, the remote. They actually uses a specially designed battery usually providing 1.5 volts for about two hours or may be a little less, but still it’s fun to play.

These mini RC cars are available in the market with the name ZipZap or sometimes RadioShack. They cost between $40 and $70, they are not really expensive but if you have to pay for such a nice thing then I thinks that they are worth buying. They are around 1:16 scale littler larger than the Hot Wheels, and they have a wide range of models from Mustangs, Chevrolet, Corvette, Hummer H1, Formula One Cars, Audi and Mercedes Benz.

It was first launched in September 2002 and ZipZap were the ones to introduce Mini RC Cars that were completely wireless. They place specially built nickel metal hydride batteries that were rechargeable so that means you don’t have to buy new ones. Some remote has build-in charger, you have to place the car on the remote to charge.

One thing that really sets the mood off when playing with remote control cars is when your car runs out of charge, you have to wait for few hours to charge it. But not with this car, it takes only about 40 to 60 seconds to charge completely and it can run for about 5 minutes before it need recharge.

In October 2008 RadioShack who were running the ZipZap line of RC Cars launched a new line with a new name XMODS, they were using the same technology as they were using before, the only difference with the XMODS was that, they released a new collection of Mini Remote Control Cars Model such as 1959 Chevrolet Corvette and 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. These were the old classic models that came into the market and were very popular not only among the youngsters but also among the mature people that had the passion for old cars.

The most interesting part of Mini Remote Control Cars is that they now comes with changeable tires, body, paint design, motor, shockers and all the suspensions, it’s like a complete custom on small scale. For example XMODS offers 2010 Mustang GT Starter Kit which was launched on 7th October, it costs around $54.99, they are not so cheap like simple mini ones because these are custom made, you can even design one by yourself and you can also upgrade it whenever you like. It comes with a body, remote control and antenna, shock tires and rims, chassis, motor, gears, suspensions and even sticker kit so that you can do some graphics of your own.

There are other models available as well, you can also purchase a white body, the box has all the parts and electronics that you can assemble by reading a tutorial guide and then you can do some graphics, it also includes batteries.

Different toy companies are producing different Mini RC Cars with different features, and every month a better model is released, which you can choose from, but it all comes to the cost that a costumer can afford, Happy Driving!

B6TM4NRW92A5

Real Action of RC Cars

Every year different electronic companies and toy manufacturers sponsor the yearly and seasonal Remote Control Car competitions in which car racers come from all around the world to compete in the event. Usually a prize money and medal is selected as the winning prize.

Last year a major event took place between 15th and 18th October, called Nitro Cross World Championship, which was sponsored by different radio control manufacturers, industry media and other sponsors. The cash prize was $5000 for the winner of the top category Pro Invite Buggy and Pro Invite Truggy, all the categories were based on the type of cars and racers and they all had different cash prizes. This event claimed to have the largest prize money in the history of the radio control competition which was $25,000 Cash based on 250 entries as racers.

Many of you might not know how these cars work and how do they achieve such speeds. These are no toys and these are professional people who have invested a large amount of money on these cars building and customizing so that they can perform better.

These cars are called Nitro Cars, the reasons of this name is that they use Nitro Methane as fuel, the same fuel used to power real drag racing cars, the fuel is not completely pure because it is very flammable, instead the fuel comprises of 20% to 30% Nitro Methane mixed with oil and alcohol, producing a very powerful fuel. The cars have an engine just like real cars having pistons and exhaust producing heat and noise; they are also equipped with suspensions, gear shafts and long range radio receivers.

Since rc cars are as good as real cars, there are things that you have to do for maintaining and to running these cars efficiently. It has a carburetor to control the flow of fuel in the engine and to keep the engine cool, they have radiators. There are needles and screws at the carbonator by which you can adjust the flow of fuel, too much fuel will cause the engine to lose raw fuel because it will not be able to burn all of it at the same time, Pros use a term here called “Fat” for this condition. Too less fuel will cause the engine to heat up referred to as “Lean”. Some tools are used to check the flow of fuel and temperature of the engine, one which is very popular is Temp Gun which costs around $30, placed to keep an eye on the engine.

There are many cars of different models available in the market costing between $140 and $800, these cars are very expensive and so their parts. The cars comes in kits which include Nitro Fuel, fuel bottle, 12 AA batteries 8 for remote and 4 for cars (as the car engine needs electric current to start) wrench or screw driver, glow plug igniter, filter oil and after run oil. But most of them are not ready-to-run RC cars, you need some adjustments to make before you can race.

Another RC Cars action event took place in December last near Lake Park, Tampa Florida, by the name “JConcepts Clash” between 11th and 13th. They had a total of 11 classes featuring Nitro Buggy Cars as well as Electric of 1/10 scale. The event was covered by Kevin Hetmanski for the R/C Magazine and a Live R/C broadcast. A number of pro drivers such as Ryan Maifield also took part in the competition.

The show was run by Jimmy Babcock who owns “JConcepts” and Jimmy Babcock R/C Racing League, was also present on this event. The winners received prizes from JConcepts products such as R/C tires, wheels and other accessories. And thats not all, the best thing about the prizes was the Grand Prizes, which were Pioneer Head Unit, 4 Channel Audio Amplifier, 10“ Sub Woofer with built-in Amplifier.

We talked about a lot about Nitro and Electric rc cars doing action but have you heard about an rc car going 161 mph (259 km/h)? and what about fastest RC Car? Well a 46 year old man Nic Case built a car and named it Schumacher Mi3 and tested it at Rockingham Dragway. The car looks pretty much like a rocket, its body is made of carbon fiber which is very light in weight and is usually used in nascar body. The car is powered with 12 batteries, but one thing which is very unusual having such speed is that it has no brakes! And I am sure it will take a little while to stop. Nic Case is not satisfied and believes that it can go to 200 mph (321 km/h), he thinks that he still can add few things and after making some adjustments he can break his own record.

Buying RC car can be difficult because of so much variety, but when it comes to the RC Cars Action, it requires skill and a lot of experience too.

RC Car Batteries-A Know How Guide

Today’s life is faster than ever. World is dancing on the fingertips due to the inventions of science .e.g. From computer just one click and you can get any information on any specific topic, with just one click and you change the channel on TV, just one click and you clean your room through vacuum cleaners. These are the few examples but science has changed the world more than this. The science has given us rc cars which use rc car batteries.

Just like other things discussed, these rc cars also run just on your finger tips. Remote control cars are the example of technology but how the remote control car works? Electric Remote Control car gets energy through batteries. Batteries are main power just like fuels in electric cars and other vehicles. Batteries give power in the shape of electric signals. There are three types of remote control cars batteries NICHEL-CADMIUM (NiCD), NICHEL HYDRIDE (NiMH) and LITHUM-LON (Li-Lon). Nichel cadmium (NiCD) developed on older battery technologies. The only problem this battery has is memory problem so user has to charge full battery for every little discharging, however, nickel hydride battery are developed on new technology and the only difference of this battery is no memory effect. Both batteries require 12 volts power for working and for this we can use 8 AA sized batteries,

The energy of any battery can be measured by two methods GRAVIMETRIC
DENSITY (W-HR/KG) and VOLUMETRIC DENSITY (W-HR/L). GRAVIMETRIC DENSITY of a battery can be calculated by how much the battery contains energy in comparison of their own weight and it is expressed in WATT- HOUR/KILOGRAM (W-Hr/kg). VOLUMETRIC DENSITY of a battery can be calculated by how much the battery contains energy in comparison of their own volume, and it is expressed in WATT- HOUR/LITRE (W-Hr/kg).Ni-MH has 55 W-HR/KG and 180 W-HR/L, Ni-CD has 50 W-HR/KG and 140 W-HR/L while LI-ION has 90 W-HR/KG and 210 W-HR/L.

If we compare these batteries on the basis of voltage stability, we can easily assume that NICD and Ni-MH contain 1.25v nominal cell voltage. 1.25v is one third of Li-Lon cell voltage. 3.6v from this we can assume that from all three Ni-CD and Ni-MH connected cell voltage is equal to the one Li-Lon cell.

IN the condition of self discharge the LI Lon- batteries is far better than NI-CD and Ni-MH. On the other hand Ni-CD is good with the comparison of Ni-MH batteries on the basis of technology. Self discharge depends upon the temperature of the battery.

Another feature which is related to the remote control car batteries is re charging time. Ni-CD and Ni-MH pumps current into the battery and it stays for the signal of full charging, while LI-LON batteries’ least charging time is 1 to 2 hours but need a clearly different method of charging from Ni-CD and Ni-MH.

How the batteries get damaged? From the damage point of view batteries can be damaged through misuse. Persistent high-current and cell polarity exchange is the main destroyer of Ni-CD and Ni-MH batteries: If Ni-CD and Ni-MH contain vents inside of batteries which use to escape the gasses of batteries and prevent batteries detonation. Ni-CD discharges Oxygen and Ni-MH discharges Hydrogen from the vents. Too much gas replaced means the battery has lost their capacity and due to this overcharge may occur while LI-Lon batteries can be damaged or destroyed from too much discharging. Do not allow the battery voltage to go below 2.4v otherwise a chemical reaction will start inside battery due to that reaction electrodes can oxidize and this process once started can never be reversed. Due to this cell loses their capacity.

0-50 centigrade temperature is the limit for Ni-CD and Ni-MH batteries and for fast charging, temperature limit 10 to 40 centigrades. The ideal temperature for these batteries is 25 C if the temperature increases or decreases from 25 C, replace the battery. However, Li-Lon battery can be charged between 0-45 C.

If you are going to buy recharge able battery for your rc car, first prefer Ni-CD battery because not only it has the capability of working for longer durations but it is not heavier on your pockets too. On the other hand Ni-CD is less friendly for environment than Ni-MH because it has CADMIUM in it. For this very reason, Ni-MH takes some shares of Ni-CD from the market.

The alarming situation is that science progresses on power and energy and gave the comfort to human but now this energy is running towards its finishing point rapidly. Petroleum wells are becoming sapless, Gas is also at its finishing point and in these conditions we have only one hope to survive from these issues that we use electric RC cars run on rc cars batteries as the alternative option for our hobby instead of nitro or gas rc cars.

Cheap RC Cars are not Cheap in Quality

During our childhood days, we must all have been very crazy about RC cars. We might have always expected to get one on our birthdays or on any special occasions as it would not have been an easy task to buy remote control cars so frequently. It might be rare that one wouldn’t desire for RC cars even when you might get it at a cheaper price.

RC cars are also sometimes known as radio control car. Price do matters when it comes for purchasing a radio control car (remote control cars). If one would like to buy one, he might probably want to know about its features and its price range. However, the point lies the more expensive the RC car would be the better would be its features and functions. Taking roughly, it might vary from $15-$300 at an average price range. Thus, a lot of fun is involved in buying then using your favorite remote control cars when you really want one.

Why there is a lot of fun drawn in RC cars? It is because of controlling the car or device from a range and making it do what ever you want to do with it. You want the car to go right it does so; you want to stop it then before it goes right it does so, you want to think what to do now and it is pending for your decision and this is the real fun in holding the remote control in your hand. To state it exactly, it works on coded signals or radioed instructions which have brought a spell of magic for the kids or even the grown ups.

As we had stated earlier, that price matters for radio control car (remote control cars). In the past the trend was very expensive and could not be afforded by all class of people. It would have been a dream to buy an RC car. However, very soon time changed and as our main topic phrase is cheap RC cars it became available in market at very low prices. In my childhood days, I remembered when the son of our neighbor brought up his brand new and stunning RC car I thought what a wonder it might be until I realized that it quite really, when my dad brought one for me very soon. I think today most of the children interested in radio control car (remote control cars) would be lucky that can easily access one from the market if they would like to play with it.

RC cars don’t just mean a tiny car moving here and there. If we take a glance over its type then we can find various types of it like Remote control boats, trucks, battle-tanks, sports cars, etc. They all have their own specialties and the pleasures in it are just so different. What you think you would feel about controlling a small RC helicopter. Wow! Amazing, don’t you think so? Making the helicopter fly here and there and over the trees would be so mind-blowing feeling if you have really not experienced. Also to mention is the size of the device, as the saying goes “Size does matter”. Now let me give you some description of a RC car where you can exactly guess how it might be. I have taken this information from a website on internet which describes a typical RC car in these words “Length: 750mm Height: 330mm Width: 445mm Wheelbase: 500mm Wheel diameter: 165mm Drive ratio: 7.58: 1 Weight: 9kg.

You might be thinking what if a remote control truck would be there. Why not, you can find that one too I believe. Probably, the nitro RC monster trucks would be a real time fun to be with. Well these are little different in a sense that some of such trucks might be Gas Remote Control Cars. Well the difference lies here that these nitro gas RC cars are propelled through two-stroke engines that are run on a mixture of fuel of nitro methane and gasoline. Besides this another advantage it has over ordinary RC cars are that these nitro gas RC cars are way faster than that of electric Remote Control cars.

Thus, these all details mentioned above show the excitement and thrill in using of especially cheap RC cars. I don’t think so there would be any child who would not love to play with RC cars. If any such kid reading this or if you know any such person even, who have not experienced the thrill of a RC car better not make him deprive of this after all if you have not used a RC car then I think you have used nothing when it comes to toys.

Nitro RC Cars- The Next Generation

Nitro rc cars are the next generation remote controlled cars. With the length of around 1/8, this car with its imperious engine performance can reach speeds of up to 70 miles per hour, which is quite exhilarating and exciting. The reason for its high speed is its nitro fuel which contains nitromethane and oil. The oiling is provided to keep the parts from wearing down by lubricating them. The nitro-methane delivers heat to the engine which in turn provides the necessary power to the engine. This fuel is the source of increasing speeds and high end performance for the nitro car. Although the fuel used is generally nitromethane, but for the most part different nitro rc cars have got different handling specifications. The reader manual which comes with the purchase specifies the instructions that should be carefully read in order to operate the rc car.

Nitro RC Car - Advantages
With nitromethane used as the fuel, safety measures need to be taken in order to prevent the fuel from igniting, as it is highly inflammable. Environmental safety and that of the place where refueling is carried out should be done with precaution. Nitro RC car comes in different sizes, with 1/8th size mostly preferred for off road models which specializes in running on bumpy grounds. The 1/10th size is usually preferred for on road models. These are the standard sizes of nitro rc cars that could be purchased.

An important factor for the fuel used in the nitro car is its storage. Nitro fuel needs proper storage and should preferably be stored in a container. The reason being in case the air gets in the container, it will cause evaporation due to which the fuel could get ruined. The temperature is another factor that could ruin the state of the fuel. Constant rising and falling of the temperature in the vicinity of the container is not advisable.

Maintenance is another issue which needs to be taken care of. A nitro remote control car has got different parts which need to be cleaned and oiled in order to extend the life of the engine. The essential parts include its engine, the fuel, the pipe for exhaust and the air filter. All these parts need to be checked after every drive for proper mechanical functioning. The fuel needs to be replaced when needed. Fuel kept for a longer period of time needs to be disposed off because it might cause harm to the engine. A lot of attention needs to be given to the tuning of the nitro car for better performance on the race track particularly if the person is an avid racing fan.

The racing fans have got the luxury of switching to the 4 wheel drive nitro car. Though it is a little expensive but it would give the racer the competitive advantage in the competition. The handling of 4 WD is better than the 2 WD. 2 WD are preferable for novice racers who look for less expensive car. The nitro car comes in kits as well as Ready to Run. It is preferable to purchase the kit than to buy the off the shelf product. The kit gives the enthusiast the freedom to tweak with the components of the car and customize it according to their needs.

Every nitro car kit has got a instruction manual. The kit mostly consists of screw drivers, oiling for lubrication, extra fuel line, knives with blades and much more. With so much technical tools ready to be used, it is advisable to watch online tutorials on how to make nitro cars. Gaining a little experience with the nitro cars enables the person to buy additional equipment from the hobby shop for performance enhancing engine. The more power the engine has got, the better performance it will show. Being technically sound with the nitro car engines is a plus when the racing competitions get tougher and so many addicts are engaged in the activity.

For the beginners to get started with nitro rc car, they need a mix of everything, which includes interest, experience, enthusiasm and knowing what to fit in your car. With correct materials on your list, you could always cut down on cost without compromising on quality. Firstly, experience is needed to operate this rc car. Without experience a person cannot get control on the car. With so much different stunts that nitro rc car can perform, it is all about practicing more and more in order to amaze the crowd as well as yourself. Interest and enthusiasm go hand in hand. With growing interest and passion, the enthusiasm could always run wild.

With a whole lot of tools involved, the price of the product is a defining factor. But looking at what this thing can offer makes a person give it a second thought. Spending money on this type of powerful car is worth it.

Gas Powered RC Cars-The Fuel Ones

RC cars or radio controlled cars(whatever you want to call them) are fast gaining in popularity throughout the world. Traditionally they used to be looked upon as mere toys meant for kids. But nowadays these cars have become more than just mere toys with many enthusiastic people getting involved. Nowadays you will find gas rc cars which are also known as petrol rc cars, which have top speeds of up to 50 mph and which are almost two to three meters in length with powerful fuel engines. Does this sound like child’s play to you?

Gas RC car racing has succeeded in developing a massive fan following throughout the years and nowadays an remote control car is one of the most requested and sough after present for any occasion. Gone are the days when these cars were just meant for kids and now young and old alike are taking up rc cars as a hobby.

Recently these cars have started coming in three broad. Namely you have your traditional electric remote control car (battery powered), your nitro powered car and last but not least your gas powered car(petrol). Different people prefer different cars according to their own needs.

The electric powered car is the most commonly found type in stores and supermarkets today. This is because of its cheap price and low running costs. These rc cars run on batteries which are charged using electricity. The problem with these cars is that they are not usually of high quality and the also they have low run time. Run time means that once charged they only run for one or at most two hours and then they have to be recharged for almost six hours. Therefore this type of remote control car is usually preferred by kids or those people who are newcomers to rc cars as they are relative cheap to buy(costing around $100) and easily available.

Then there is the nitro powered rc car. This car is preferred by many enthusiasts mainly due to its high top speed ability (known to reach speeds of 75 mph) and also as it provides them with a more realistic drive. But the main problem with the nitro power model is that the fuel that is required is very expensive and difficult to locate. Nitro powered cars run on a mixture of oil, methanol and nitro methane. This fuel is very hard to find and costs around $50 to 60 per gallon. A gallon of this fuel usually ensures around three to four hours of driving. That in turn makes it a very expensive drive and most people cannot bear the financial costs associated with buying such a car. Even though these cars are relatively cheap to buy costing around $200 to $400 but the fuel cost of these cars makes it out of the reach for many people out there.

Next we come to my personal favorite the gas powered car. The gas powered car comprises of either a 2 stroke or 4 stroke engine. This type of remote control car is fast becoming the rc car or choice for most serious enthusiasts and for new comers as well. This is due to its relatively large size which ranges from about one to two meters and also because of its ability to be accessorized.

The reason why I prefer this car above the others is because not only does it provide you with a good top speed (around 60 to 70mph) but also because it is a lot less lighter on the pocket then nitro powered cars while providing you with almost the same performance. This type of rc car is utilizes normal gasoline which is a lot less cheaper then nitro laced fuel. Also as it is bigger in size it can be easily accessorized with different designs, colors and logos therefore making it a favorite among young males in particular. This ability of gas powered cars makes it the favorite choice of most young males and they consider this type of car to be the ultimate boy toy.

The gas powered car is available in two different varieties. The on track type and the off track type. The on track type is faster on smooth surfaces such as remote control race tracks and pavement but when confronted with rough terrain these rc cars are easily damaged and cannot offer the same performance as they do on smoother surfaces.
The off track type on the other hand has the ability to run on different terrain such as bumpy roads, rocky playing fields and potholed roads without getting damaged. These cars are also a lot more fun as they can be tested with obstacles and jumps.

Although these gas RC cars can be expensive to buy costing around $800 , in my opinion in the long run they are a much better option than others(nitro) because they are cheaper to run. The fuel does not cost that much and also they can be easily accessorized hence personalized also provide the best value in terms of the smooth drive and low maintenance costs.

Petrol RC Cars Scale Models

Petrol rc cars are a unique kind of remote control cars which go exceptionally great in scal models. These remote controlled cars are filled with unleaded petrol which can be easily bought from model shops. With the enthusiasts taking a big stride forward from battery remote controlled cars to petrol, it adds to the fun and the joy that these petrol remote cars bring to the forefront of racing competitions. With petrol RC cars going up to the speeds of 60 km/h, it is awe-inspiring to know the amount of work put into it, which adds speed, stability and power which lasts for quite a while, for a fulfilling and exciting satisfaction.

Petrol Remote Controlled Cars and its Advantages
The inspiring automation behind this technology includes 2 wheel drive system with an engine built of a single cylinder (2 strokes) 23 cc engine, which makes it a powerful engine for such a small vehicle. With a single cylinder and a 2 stroke engine, the engine displacement comes out to be 23cc, which is an impressive quantitative measure for a remote controlled car. This is why; petrol remote controlled cars supersede electric and for that matter nitro cars.

With such technology up for grabs, the admirers of such cars can manufacture a custom built REMOTE CONTROL car, with the help of kits which can be purchased from the manufacturers. The important factor of the REMOTE CONTROL car kit is that, one can fit in the parts with hands-on-experience and be aware of the technology used in the remote care, which is essential in upgrading the car when needed. The kit has got the manual which contains all the necessary instructions to build a car by fitting in different car parts and assembling it as per the instructions written in the manual. This way, the joy with rc cars will carry on with new advancements meaning additional fun.

Once an avid fan has gained so much experience in building customized cars, they can always repair the old parts and fit in new ones without going through the hassle of taking the car or for that matter particular equipment to the manufacturer.

In addition to aforementioned advantages, a petrol remote control car has got many advantages over an electric rc car, one of which is that the electric car battery has to be charged before it is up and running. For an avid fan, the fun would have to stop in between to charge the battery which is not very fulfilling. On the other hand, petrol remote control cars would have to be filled up once, although once the fuel tank empties, it would have to be filled up again. But if it is filled up once, the joy could last for a couple of hours, before the car runs out of petrol. Lasting joy without any interruption is of utmost concern.

For petrol rc cars, petrol is a major concern, because these cars run on petrol that is why, having them refueled and up and running again is a cost factor. It also depends on the size of the radio control car as well, the bigger the size, the more petrol it will consume. Apart from the consumption of the fuel, the petrol itself is one of the concerns because of the kids maneuvering the cars with their controls all over the house, thereby; spilling fuel on the carpet, floor etc is a matter of concern.

As far as race competition is concerned, petrol rc cars are next to none. With all the other type of radio control cars lacking power, style, speed and versatility, petrol rc cars are the ones which are going to give a person the competitive advantage they need. The more features you add in your car, the better performance it will give. These remote control cars are different from ordinary radio control cars that is why, a person needs to practice a lot in order to increase their control on the car. Practicing on bumpy roads, sidewalks, rocky fields and grounds is hard as well as interesting at the same time. The joy of maneuvering the car with the help of the remote never stops. It is kind of joy which when addicted to could turn into a major obsession.

The crux of the entire article is that these cars are not only made for kids but are made for men of all ages. Everyone loves to play with objects which offer high speeds but at the same time with so much control in our hands, it gets all the more interesting when dealing with toys which can win us racing competitions. Speeding such cars on the race tracks offers a great amount of excitement and a lasting experience.

I would say, if a person does not get the chance to fulfill their joy of driving a real car then the best available choice for him is to buy a much more affordable petrol RC car which can offer speed and power but most importantly the control is in your hands.

Fastest RC Cars- Speed for Thrill

Car hobbyists always love to have fastest RC cars, whether it is run by electric brush-less motors or nitro engines, to outstrip others with their thrill of speed and efficiency. After having a quick glance over the fastest RC cars available, it becomes easy for the speed lover to make the decision either to o for one or not. Below are the top three fastest RC cars which are still ranked to be the fastest.

1- Traxxas Nitro 4-Tec 3.3
The Traxxas Nitro 4-Tec 3.3 is a fastest RC car that can go up to the speed of 70+ mph. Nothing amazing! I hear you say. But do you also know the length of this sedan? Just 17- inches. For a RC car to make 70+ mph is really unbelievable. This tells about the technology and power used in the Nitro 4-Tec 3.3 for the serious RC car enthusiast. Before touching the details, one important thing is that the Nitro 4-Tec 3.3 is not made for everyone. This car achieves rapid acceleration and very high speed therefore only experienced players can drive it. If you never had any experience with nitro powered RC cars, you would wreck it in seconds while struggling to control it. It requires a wide space free of obstacles, traffic or pedestrians as a running area. This projectile with 70 mph will make a serious injury if hits anybody. That’s why, Traxxas rated this model with the highest skill level of “5”; that means it is just for expert drivers.

With a slightest twitch of the steering you would end up the play very badly. You need an absolutely flat track to run this sedan. This very high speed is gifted by the TRX 3.3 nitro racing engine installed in it. For those not familiar with radio control technology, nitro engines are actually small-sized ICEs - internal combustion engines - run by specific nitro fuel having nitro-methane that generates this exceptional power. The Nitro 4-Tec 3.3's nitro engine gets 60% more peak power than its sibling - the TRX 2.5. The total power given “under the curve” is about 50% more; this delivers a smooth, stable and linear power output.
With a powerful nitro engine, there is no question of any difficulty while starting or tuning. The 3.3 nitro racing engine features a Traxxas EZ-Start electric starting system along with a two-needle composite slide carburetor for quick tuning. Traxxas has made starting as simple as it can be by using its Smart Start technology. This system tracks all core starting functions, and detect and settle the possible problems for quick starting.

The Traxxas Nitro 4-Tec 3.3 is a fantabulous piece of miniature technology. It is acknowledged as the fastest nitro powered RC car available so far. So, if you can't pay for an actual, high performance sport car like me, then try this record breaking, fastest RC car for few hundred bucks in a miniature size.

2- Cen CT4-S
The Cen CT4-S is very fast and one of the fastest RC cars available out there. Cen CT4-S attains this top speed with its newly engineered huge 2.5 Big Block 3 ports "Lighting" engine operating with an adjustable lightweight 2-speed transmission. With its multiple tuning options in the chassis design, you can adjust your CT4-S to any track conditions.
This sweetly designed CT4-S offers great handling as well. The only thing I feel bad, is its radio. I believe Cen can manufacture better radios than the one they make for the CT4-S. It doesn’t mean the radio is quite rubbish – its ok with me but Cen can improve it even more. Unless you are on a racing track, your CT4-S will not get too many running mates when it attains its maximum speed. There are not so many RTR cars that can show off 50+ mph out of the box. Its ready-to-run suspension and chassis doesn’t make CT4 S just a typecast or a straight-line speed car. No doubt, the CEN CT4-S is the fastest RC car available. Right out of the box, it is the one and only 1/10 Nitro car that breaks the 70-mph speed barrier.

3- OFNA OB4
RC cars are getting faster and faster each year. Companies have actually started using top speed as a selling point for their 1/10th nitro RC cars. OFNA OB4 is another fastest RC car leading the pack. This is a belt driven 1/10 nitro powered RC car running with a .12 Force motor. OFNA always sells good racing cars at cheap prices, mostly cheaper than other RC cars with same features.

If you want pure speed, on-road RC cars are best for you. Electric powered on-road RC cars reach up to 40+ mph speed whereas the nitro powered on-road cars makes speed of 70 mph – of course, this is not for beginners. Top RC manufacturing companies are Tamiya, Serpent, OFNA, NEO, Kyosho, HPI, Traxxas, and Bolink. If you are a beginner, try an electric touring car such as the HPI Dash RC Car, but if you want fastest RC nitro cars that can reach more than 50 mph speed, try the OFNA OB4 Nitro RC Car.
Buy any of above mentioned three fastest RC cars and hit the higher end of the radio controlled car racing circuit with their capabilities of running at 60-mph and over.

Electric RC Cars- Fast and Tidy

Amateurs, who are also new in the RC racing world, always complaint that it is quite tough to select the most suitable electric RC car that can become a worthy, toughest rival to other competing cars in racing. If you are also the one, you need some basic and vital information before setting out to purchase your first electric RC car.

Electric RC cars are powered by electric batteries that are delivered in battery packs. They come in two forms – first ‘ready to run’ (also called - rtr) and the second option is - built it yourself. If you don’t know much about RC cars' technology, I would suggest choosing the former. With it, you will just turn it on and off – and it will go. RC cars, running on battery packs are much easier to buy and care as compared to the popular nitro RC cars. The electric RC cars are specifically designed for beginners.

Major advantage of electric RC cars, besides its user-friendly nature, is that these cars are quite inexpensive. This difference in price between a gasoline powered and an electric powered RC car usually goes up to one hundred bucks. So, if you're looking for an RC car, which you can easily operate and maintain, then go for an electric RC car.

Buying Electric RC Cars
While buying an electric RC car, you need to consider many things like your budget, car's capabilities, and car's maintenance and servicing matters. Electric RC cars are available in broad range of prices, so select the one that will not be a burden on your finances. Electric RC car kits come for both on-road and off-road racings; these kits vary in sizes, styles, and colors. As each electric RC car has unique features, so buy a car that suits your budget, experience, needs, capabilities and likings. If you are amateur, ‘ready to run’ kits are best. They have all what you need; everything is there. Buying this, you will free yourself from worries regarding the assembly and other parts. Servo, receiver, radio, motor, and the electronic speed control – you will get everything in the package – so no need to worry. And, if it is a matter of building RC cars, you can also buy the build it yourself kit.

Places to buy?
Reputable RC car shops are the most reliable spots, especially for the beginners. Learn what expert RC racers say about best places to shop. Certainly, they can guide you to the right track. Online buying is another great option, but make it sure that you are trading with a trustworthy seller. Online prices of electric RC cars are mostly lower. Another big advantage with online purchasing is that you get huge variety of cars and parts to choose from. Compare different offers in their prices and quality. And above all, you can also get an advantage of discounts that will reduce your expenses.

Maintenance of Electric RC Cars
Don't run your electric RC Car when its motor is overheated. This would weaken the motor springs, its magnet and also can burn the motor brushes. It also reduces your electric RC car's running time and cause to stop at the center of the race. To avoid all these things, there are three steps you can take to prevent your car's motor from getting overheated while running at its peak speed.

1. Keep gear ratio at its right level (pinion and spur).
2. Maintain the required, proper gap between pinion and spur.
3. Proper and timely maintenance.
Your electric RC car needs frequent tuning to maintain its speed and power. Make sure your electric RC Car motor always serve better.

Electric RC cars are a great gift for people of all ages. Play with your electric RC car anytime, anyplace. Though, these are not as fast as nitro RC cars, but electric RC cars always give a quality entertainment to its players as well as viewers. HPI's sprint 2 series in electric RC cars kicked it up a notch, shattering the bad repute of being slow that electric RC cars were having in the past. The electric RC cars do have advantages over the gas powered RC cars, which make them attractive to the people. Their lighter weight, motor durability and easy controlling of the throttle make electric RC cars far better than nitro RC cars for drifting. You could burn out the clutch and overheat the engine while making the same drifting moves with your nitro RC car. To get most out of you electric RC car, you should learn drifting. You may feel difficult to get proper control at first, but after some practice you will gain a better experience and remember practice is the only way to become a great drifter. Create your own videos and watch your progress; check your mistakes and learn from them.

RC Car Parts- that Keep it Running

Have you ever felt that your RC car is getting less crispy and tight than it was when you took it out first time of the box? If so then don't be crazy and run out to buy a new kit of RC car parts just to get it back to as it was initially. Much likely to others you will be ignoring many things while you are wrenching. Your RC car always needs regular attention and service of its parts regardless the brand or type. Below are the steps, you should repeat regularly at the recommended times, so that you can maintain fresh, new feel of your RC car.

Keep a journal with a list of your RC car parts just to remind you of when it is time to do any necessary service of respective car part. You should know that certain conditions, such as sandy surfaces, deteriorate your RC car parts. So, plan accordingly!

Batteries:
Thumb Rule: Cycle them once each month
The action is particularly necessary with Ni-CD and Ni-MH battery packs. You must cycle them at least one time each month. Discharge the pack to an average of .9 Vs/cell (5.4-volts for a six-cell pack, 3.6-volts for a five-cell receiver pack), and then recharge the pack to its full; better to use a peak detection charger for it. If you use Li-Po battery packs then take care of them with a cell balancer as it levels the voltage supply throughout the pack.

Bearings:
Thumb Rule: Clean or replace after each gallon, or earlier as per condition.
Take out all drivetrain bearings and clean and re-oil them. Replace those still feeling gritty even after being cleaned. It is advised to check the axle bearings after every few runs, and it becomes even more necessary in dusty or dry environments. Gritty and seized axle bearing makes RC car feel twitchy.

Shock and diff seals:
Thumb Rule: Each second time you change oil
By getting cheap shock and diff O-rings, and replacing them frequently, you can get an extra protection against blown seals. In case of a blown shock or seals, it takes more time to clean the RC car's suspension than making a replacement.

Shock and diff oil:
Thumb Rule: Replace oil after racing for 6-days or 4-days

The silicone oil you are using in shocks and diffs of your RC car becomes ineffective after multiple uses and with abrupt temperature changes. Each time after 6-days of race, you must dump out all of the shock oil and completely empty the shock body by using motor spray. Follow the manufacturer's instructions while refilling and bleeding the shock. Your RC car’s diffs work under high temperatures, so replace diff oil once after four race days.

Fuel line:
Thumb Rule: Check frequently and replace with the new, if torn and brittle.
Though fuel tube is a low-cost part of your RC car, but it sometimes create big problems when it tears. Fuel line should be checked at least once after each racing day, as there may be some brittle patches or small tears. Replace it if you feel it necessary.

Glow plugs:
Your RC car has many consumable parts and glow plugs are also one of them. You will have to replace them after regular intervals to maintain your engine performance at its best. After every major racing activity, take out the plug and check its coil. If you find it distorted, white, damaged or broken then it’s time for replacement.

Clutch:
Thumb rule: Check after each half-gallon of fuel OR every racing week.
Engine is the heart of your RC car whereas the clutch is its blood. A nonfunctional clutch leads to tuning incompatibility and low performance. Disassemble your RC car's clutch after every half-gallon of fueling. Check it thoroughly; look for the broken spring, worn shoe, glazing on the shoes/clutch bells, and affects to the flywheel. It will save your money, if it just need chamfering of the affected edges of the shoes by using a file, otherwise you will have to replace the clutch bearings (recommendation: after each gallon), including shoes and springs.

Air filter:
Thumb Rule: Replace, or clean and re-oil them after each racing day.
I observed many racers using new air filter elements each time they feel them dirty, but there is no extensive requirement to change any dirty element; the only exception is a foam element even if it is not damaged. Fully clean the element with soap and water, apply air filter oil and put it in again. Some oils does not get clean easily with soap and water, if you are also using such oil then I would recommend getting a new, oiled filter element.
Most of your RC car parts that keep it running at its best are not much costly, and the performance you will obtain from your RC car in its tiptop condition is enough to justify the time and effort you spend on tuning it.
